Feature Writing for Magazines & Newspapers
Feature writers are (factual) storytellers. This two-day workshop will help to stimulate participants to look beyond the obvious, identify, develop and write about the numerous stories unfolding around them daily – and earn money.
The workshop includes identifying topics; exploring various forms of feature writing; gathering information; writing clear, catchy and concise copy; and pitching stories to editors. These will be done through lecture, discussions, assignment, critique and analysis.
This workshop is for inexperienced writers; people who want to turn their words into cash; people who want to write for newspapers and/or magazines.
