Final Cut Pro

Course Objective
To facilitate the development of ideas through research and exploration of video production. Students will understand the procedure for combining selected portions of video footage in order to create a new, combined version. A variety of editing consoles are available. During video editing, special effects such as wipes, dissolves, inserts, etc. can be added.

About the Software
Final Cut Pro is a professional non linear editing system developed by Apple Inc. that has found popularity amongst independent filmmakers and is beginning to make inroads with Hollywood film editors who traditionally use Avid Technology's Media Composer. Its ease of use and its ability to work with multiple file formats provides the flexibility filmmakers need.
